I have been informed that there is already a terrible “NO FRILLS RIFF ROCK” band by the name of BLACK WATER RISING in the New York area. I certainly don’t want people to mistake us for them. It may be necessary to rethink the name for the 100th time.

BLACK WATER RISING = clearly a reference to cheez metaaoaoaoaoaoaoal
I’d keep the name if no one is literally using that. Sure, people confuse Black Keys with Black Lips, but that’s okay.
